Volvo C30 ranks 8 out of 11 Upscale Small Cars.  So we decided to write a Volvo c30 review.  With a small trunk and a classy glass hatch, reviewers say the Volvo C30 isn’t a utilitarian hatchback, but it’s definitely attractive.  Reviewers say that hands down, the Volvo C30 is the most attractive model in the class thanks to its retro-inspired glass hatch.  But other than that, there’s little about the C30 that impresses reviewers.  This Volvo c30 review features performance as well.  Its turbocharged engine is powerful enough to satisfy most drivers, but less expensive hatchbacks, like the Volkswagen GTI, are a lot more inspiring than the C30.  Inside, the C30 is well-equipped with standard features like Bluetooth, a USB port and HD radio, but what disappoints reviewers most is the C30’s small cargo area and tight rear seats.  With little utility and a cramped second row, test drivers find that the Volvo C30 is designed for shoppers who want an attractive small car that handles weekly commutes with ease.  Below the Volvo c30 review features some of the main points explained more thoroughly.

Performance:

In this section of the Volvo c30 review we are focusing its performance.  The Volvo C30 has enough power to keep pace with class contenders, but if you’re looking for an engaging upscale hatchback, the Volvo C30 can’t match the Volkswagen GTI or Mini Cooper S.  The C30 is available as an R-Design model, but reviewers suggest steering clear of this trim because its stiff suspension translates to a rough ride. With either transmission, the Volvo C30 gets relatively good gas mileage.  The EPA rates models with the automatic transmission at 21/30 mpg city/highway, while models with the manual transmission average 21/29 mpg.  Other Volvo c30 reviews coming from test drivers say shoppers will be pleased with either transmission choice, but if you’re looking for the driver involvement that comes with a manual transmission, one reviewer doesn’t think it is any more engaging than the automatic. Most test drivers say the Volvo C30 performs fine in both braking and handling, but some reviewers criticize the lack of steering feedback and think the brakes are slow to react.  The press also expresses great disappointment in the suspension on the R-Design C30 because its stiff setup jeopardizes ride comfort.  In the next section of Volvo c30 review we will talk about its exterior looks.

Exterior:

In this section of the Volvo c30 review its exterior is discussed.  The Volvo C30 is a four-seat, two-door hatchback offered in two models: the base T5 and the sportier T5 R-Design.  When we requested the car of our Volvo c30 review we learned that each model can be upgraded with either the new Premier Plus or Platinum trim level that basically groups popular options into packages for easier ordering.  In the next section of Volvo c30 review we will talk about its interior features.

Interior:

Not all Volvo c30 reviews agree that Volvo C30’s cabin is made with the best materials, but the C30 is well-equipped for the class. Test drivers think seating comfort in the C30 is a mixed bag.  Up front, there’s plenty of headroom and legroom for two adults, and the seats are comfortable.  The Volvo c30 review car came with Bluetooth, HD radio, an auxiliary port, a USB port for iPods, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and an audio system.  These standard features are very good for the class, but reviewers say some shoppers may find the buttons on the dash hard to use because they are small and have hard-to-read labels.  Our car taken for the Volvo c30 review had a navigation system which is optional, but like the systems in many Volvos, test drivers say it’s hard to use.
